Statement regarding the owner of a historic motor vehicle

If information is required to exercise one’s right to acquire title to or right to possess a motor vehicle, to which a status of historical motor vehicle can be applied for the purpose of restoring and retaining its cultural and historic value, the application for receipt of the certification can be completed in the e-Application section of e-CSDD.

The service is available on e-CSDD by using the Unified Application link and choosing the most appropriate authentication method: using your credit institution, e-signature smart card or electronic signature.

Terms of Service:

Information will be provided only about the vehicles manufactured more than 30 years ago, if it is available to the CSDD and can be found based on details provided in the application.
Prior to executing the application, a payment of EUR 6.67 must be made on e-CSDD - Issue of information in the form of a written statement about each vehicle. Important! Payment will not be returned after provision of the reply regardless of the achieved result.
After drawing up the application, the applicant must send to the e-mail address ur@csdd.gov.lv the general view photograph of the vehicle, photograph of identification, body and engine numbers (in such a way as the number symbols are visible, and photograph of the vehicle registration plate (if any). Important! Total size of the attached files may not exceed 3 Mb!

Information will be provided subject to the following:

if the vehicle owner is a legal entity, the CSDD will provide information on the name, registration number, if any, and address of the legal entity recorded at the moment of the last registration);
if the vehicle owner is a deceased natural person, the CSDD will provide information which is at its disposal on the person’s name, surname and personal identity number/year of birth;
if the last registered owner is an identifiable natural person, the CSDD will provide the telephone number and e-mail address of the applicant, as specified in the application, to the owner of the vehicle with a request to contact the applicant;
if the vehicle owner is a natural person whose personal data which is at the disposal of the CSDD is insufficient for identification, the CSDD will inform you thereon without providing any vehicle owner data.
