Road worthiness inspection

In order to reduce the spread of Covid-19, mouth and nose masks must be worn at CSDD Customer Service Centers and road worthiness Inspection Stations when receiving the service.  


  • We urge you to arrive without passengers!
  • A mouth and nose mask must be worn at the road worthiness inspection station.
  • The driver may be asked to wait outside the station during the inspection!
  • Before receiving the service, please open all the windows of the car, fasten all seat belts and wait outside the station.
  • We invite payments for technical inspection to be made in e.CSDD.
  • If  you have been assigned 10 days of self-isolation or home quarantine, do not come for inspection!

If payments for roadworthiness inspection have been made in

  • At the Riga roadworthiness inspection station at Antenas Street 2, in the parking lot of the CSDD client service centrer
  • open the CSDD mobile application and follow the instructions received in the application;
  • go to the client service centre and follow the instructions if the CSDD mobile application is not available to you.
  • Aizkraukle, Aluksne, Balvi, Daugavpils, Dobele, Gulbene, Jelgava, Jekabpils, Jurmala, Kraslava, Kuldiga, Limbazi, Madona, Ogre, Preili, Rezekne, Sigulda, Saldus, Talsi, Tukums, Valka and Ventspils roadworthiness inspection stations - CSDd mobile application receive the queue number and follow the information on the tableu in the parking lot at the roadworthiness inspection station;
  • At Bauska, Cēsis, Grobiņa, Liepāja, Ludza and Valmiera roadworthiness inspection stations - go to the inspection line, where the service takes place in a queue.

If the payments for the roadworthiness inspection have not been made, you must go to the CSDD client centre.

You can apply for the roadworthines inspection electronically e.CSDD or by phone. 67025777. Pre-registration is voluntary, which will allow you to receive the service at a certain time.


  1. Technical inspection of vehicles registered in Latvia located in the EU and EEA.

During a Covid-19 state of emergency, a vehicle registered in Latvia may be used in the EU and EEA countries, including returning to the Latvian state border by April 30, 2022 * without extension of the road worthiness inspection term.

However, when crossing the Latvian border, a one-day permit to participate in road traffic must be issued (it is allowed to register it no more than twice in a calendar year) electronically in the CSDD mobile application or website section “E-services” valid on the specific date when you plan to drive in the territory of Latvia and go to the road worthiness inspection station.

We draw your attention to the fact that a one-day permit to participate in road traffic is valid only in the territory of Latvia, thus, when drawing it up, the place of crossing the state border into Latvia must be indicated as the departure address.

* - in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/267 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 February 2021 laying down special and interim measures in relation to the Covid-19 outbreak. According to the provisions of the Regulation, if a vehicle has expired during the period from 1 September 2020 to 30 June 2021 while in another EU or EEA Member State, then its validity is considered to be extended until 30 September 2022.
